School Cafeteria Team Leader

Carpinteria Unified School District is hiring a Cafeteria Team Leader. This position is an 8 hour shift (hours will be set by the administrator) Monday through Friday preparing and cooking food for all campus students in our main cafeteria kitchen. This position includes excellent benefits for medical, vision, and dental.

The Cafeteria Team Leader is a working supervisor over other food services employees. Incumbents at this level require a background sufficient to organize work for, and lead a food service staff at a school with a larger student population, prepare varied menus, and integrate food production for delivery to other sites.

Oversees and participates in food preparation and service activities at a large volume school with a complete kitchen that may provide food services to other locations. Performs food preparation duties according to a variety of planned menus, recipes, and the number of persons to be served. Oversees food preparation and cooks meals in large quantities for various school sites and satellite locations. Maintains an inventory of food, determines quantity of food required, and makes the appropriate orders. Maintains food service records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
