Carr Allison seeks a PARALEGAL for its Gulfport, MS office.
Paralegal Responsibilities :
Preparing legal correspondence and other documents for attorneys.
Organizing and maintaining documents.
Summarizing documents and files.
Filing pleadings with State and Federal Courts.
Helping prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
5 years of experience in civil litigation defense is essential.
Experience should include : Assisting attorney(s) in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions; drafting legal documents such as subpoenas, discovery, and pleadings; assisting in case analysis meeting all applicable deadlines; e-filing with both State and Federal Courts; summarizing medical and billing records; summarizing depositions; and managing cases for assigned attorneys.
Knowledge of Miss State Workers Compensation and Longshore Harbor Workers Compensation practice experience is a plus.
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a litigation team.
Must have strong investigative skills.
Must possess excellent organization skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to operate well under pressure with minimal supervision.
