Position Overview
As a member of our ball lock department, your daily duties as a Machine Operator may vary depending on business need. This can include but is not limited to operating a manual machine or ball lock assembly.
This is an excellent entry-level job opportunity. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to learn about ball lock pin manufacturing and assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual Machining involves setting up the machine, producing standard and special tolerances on components according to drawings and specifications; and using tooling and machine programming. This may include inserting the balls into the ball lock pins.
- Ball Lock Assembly: perform standard assembly procedures, rework, and repair on manufactured equipment and products, following established safety procedures.
- Performing quality checks during manufacturing and assembly. Test the assembled parts or products to ensure they are functioning properly and of good quality as needed.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and/or drawings to assemble pins.
- Performing other duties within the department as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Manual dexterity, ability to perform repetitive tasks. Ability to handle small components
- Ability to follow directions carefully and adhere to deadlines.
- Work well independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate in English or Spanish.
Preferred:
- Assembly experience
- Machine operating experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing or experience working in a manufacturing environment
