We are looking for a Lead Nurse to join our team and oversee all nursing services in our beautiful community.

Responsibilities
· Coordinates in-services and assists with on-going education of clinical staff.
· Participates in interviewing process for new staff.
· Participates in creating and maintaining the schedule for clinical staff
· Trains and mentors new clinical staff
· Assists in auditing care tasks and electronic documentation.
· Participates with Director of Nursing and/or Executive Director in Care Conferences as appropriate
· Coordinates and participates in training and on-boarding of all clinical staff.
· Assists with day-to-day communications.
· Assists with gathering annual/quarterly/change in condition documentation
· Ensures cares are being performed up to Carriage Crossing standards.
· Involved in participating in department meetings as assigned.
· Always maintains professional behavior while providing a wide variety of direct care to residents in a manner which ensures dignity and respect for those involved.
· Measures, records and tracks vital signs.
· Clearly communicates important updates and information from nursing leadership appropriately within the nursing department.
· Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
· Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information to direct supervisor or Executive Director within 24 hours.
· Informs appropriate staff regarding status of resident emergencies and hospitalizations.
· Reports pertinent observations regarding residents to Director of Nursing and/or Executive Director.
· Provides support to the department by being an active team member, contributing to and leading by example utilizing the teamwork concept.
· Possess the ability to interact and communicate professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public and demonstrates this daily.
· Assess and evaluates residents for acute medical needs
· Documents appropriately in the electronic health record.
· Provides services by being on the job, on time, and as scheduled.
· Self-motivated and driven by a can-do attitude which creates and fosters a positive work experience for self and others.
· Flexible to be scheduled and help out on various shifts including weekends and holidays.
· Performs all other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and/or Executive Director.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a senior living nurse.
- In-depth knowledge of medication management
- Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting
- General knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in senior living.
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Degree in nursing;
- Valid nursing and CPR certification

Pay: From $36.00 per hour
