Job Summary
Responsible for transportation vehicles and being able to transport company’s belongings and/or passengers safely and securely from one location to another, while also making sure that the standards of The Carriage House are kept.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for transportation vehicles and being able to transport company’s belongings and/or passengers safely and securely from one location to another, while also making sure that the standards of The Carriage House are kept.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Transport employees and/or company’s belongings to and from destinations.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of vehicles and upkeep, including gas and refilling gas or whatever is needed to help the vehicles run proficiently.
- May be assigned to Restaurant kitchen (AM or PM), Catering, In Home Services.
- Communicates frequently to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef as to what needs to be done for vehicles.
- Controls and properly storage of food.
- Ensures all items are properly stored in assigned areas once transported.
- Arrive at destination on schedule.
- Research and plan for traffic, constructions and weather delays
- Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
- Arrange for vehicle repair as needed.
- Attends daily briefings, meetings and training as required.
- Reports to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform.
- Detailed knowledge of rules and regulations of the law for driving a motor vehicle
- Strong knowledge and skills in driving vans and upkeep
- Must be able to multitask and work in a face paced team environment.
- Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
- Excellent guest and employee relations skills
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in jobrelated English.
- Valid driver’s license and.
- One year or more of driving experience.
- Excellent navigation and proficiency in using navigation applications to find locations.
- Time management and organizational skills to keep track of duties and stay on schedule.
- Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
- Able to lift and carry containers and equipment weighing 50 lbs.
- Able to reach various levels ranging from overhead to the floor.
- Ability to withstand high temperatures, moisture, and noise levels in work areas.
