About the Role:
As a Logistics Account Broker, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods and services between shippers and carriers. Your primary responsibility will be to negotiate contracts and rates, ensuring that both parties achieve their logistical goals efficiently and cost-effectively. You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions. Additionally, you will analyze market trends and data to optimize routing and shipping strategies, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction. Your success in this role will directly impact the overall efficiency and profitability of the logistics operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or a similar role.
- Experience running a book of business
- Lead Generation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP).
- Experience with logistics software and tools. (Excel, DAT, Truckstop & Super Dispatch)
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and shippers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Monitor shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process.
- Analyze market trends and data to optimize routing and shipping strategies.
- Prepare and present reports on logistics performance and market conditions to stakeholders.
