Carrier Enterprise currently has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Operations in our Lenexa, location.
Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business-to-business environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. Summary
The Director of Operations provides leadership, management, and vision for the Central Plains Region to ensure that the company effectively and efficiently delivers exceptional operational and fulfillment outcomes. This will include driving improved operational performance across all regional facilities and all operational disciplines (i.e., safety, warehousing, transportation, branch support operations, etc.), utilizing a variety of operational strategies.
This position will partner with customer service, order management, inventory planning, and regional and corporate business functions. Transportation and logistics responsibilities will include management of dedicated fleet and other transportation providers. The role will take on a key leadership role in driving change, creating standardized processes, and leading workplace safety initiatives.
The Regional Director of Operations will cultivate and leverage multiple cross-functional business relationships to identify and execute creative solutions to organizational opportunities and challenges. As a key member of the region's leadership team, the Director of Operations will assist in setting the region's strategic goals and ensure operating plans are aligned to support those objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies
Develop strategies meant to assist the assigned area in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible
Approves and allocates resources based on business priorities
Evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures
Work very closely and have a degree of responsibility over our customer service, order
management, and inventory planning functions
Drive compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements along with managing change and creating standardized world class processes
Transportation and logistics responsibilities will include oversight of the relationship with our contracted trucking partner

Willingness to travel – 35% of the time
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred with a preference for Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain degree.
Lean Six-Sigma Experience and Certification is beneficial.
