Job Function
The Finance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function. Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly commissions and accruals.
- Create PowerPoint presentations for the Monthly Business Review.
- Assist the Finance Director with monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct analysis on changes in standards and freight factors.
- Help the Finance Director with the preparation of the annual plan working papers and PowerPoint presentations.
- Assist in the preparation and upload of the monthly forecast.
- Support the Finance Director with monthly closing activities.
- Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
- Perform SOX compliance tests.
- Assist with the annual audit process as needed.
- Assist Finance Director with internal audit samples.
- Help with capital appropriations when required.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor financial performance by tracking and analyzing key metrics.
- Provide variance analysis and explanations for differences between actual and budgeted figures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial planning.
- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as required.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Skills And Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with financial software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of US GAAP.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis and cost accounting.
- Must be fluent in English & Spanish
