Job Summary:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will provide pre- and post-order support to key dealers and the local sales team within the designated territory. You will seek new business opportunities by responding to sales leads and targeting underserved markets that can benefit from our vast array of HVAC products and solutions. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing customer relationships through incoming and outbound calls, digital channels, and inside support of the sales team. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses and incentives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Provide superior engagement for sales follow-up and customer service to both external and internal customers.
- Order Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and follow-up of open customer orders and sales support.
- Technical Support: Provide technical post-sale support to the sales organization, including monitoring shipping, delivery, and return status as required.
- Customer Requests: Handle incoming customer requests for orders and product information, including equipment specifications and applications.
- Issue Resolution: Work with customers, sales, and internal/external suppliers to resolve issues as they arise.
- Warranty Support: Collaborate with the Warranty Team to support customer claims and questions as needed.
- Sales Opportunities: Support add-on sales opportunities when receiving and processing customer orders.
- Technology Adoption: Drive technology and tool adoption within customer groups and sales channels, utilizing tools such as:
- WATSCO Ventures technology suite: Easy Stock, On Call Air, House Call Pro, Credit for Comfort
- eComm tools: Website and Mobile App, Salesforce
- Contractor Assist: Pick-up Express
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate performance history and knowledge of the HVAC industry, including residential and commercial products, replacement configurations, substitutions, and sell-up strategies.
- Motivation and Teamwork: Be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work with minimal direction, and possess a high sense of urgency, team orientation, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Software Proficiency: Be proficient in PC and common software applications.
- Customer Relations: Exhibit excellent customer relations and customer service skills.
- Problem-Solving: Actively problem-solve and innovate when information is not readily available.
- Organizational Skills: Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent organizational skills.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow through.
Requirements:
Education: Associate-level degree preferred. Bachelor's degree or higher is a plus but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience within the HVAC industry, wholesale distribution sales, or other similar service-related experience.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills.
Availability: Must be available for two weekends during the fall for Annual Inventory.
Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in both remote and in-office environments.
