Job Summary: Product Data Specialist - Remote
The Product Data Specialist will be part of the Product Information Management (PIM) team, responsible for ensuring accurate and complete product information is gathered, entered, and maintained in all company systems. While this role is housed within the PIM team, it involves close collaboration with the Product Management and Inventory Planning teams, which facilitates the setting up of new items. The Product Data Specialist will work with suppliers to collect detailed product data, including attributes, images, documents, barcodes, weights, and dimensions, and ensure that this data is up-to-date and accurate in the company's systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Product Management team to gather product setup requirements, such as part numbers and supplier information, for new items.
Liaise with suppliers to collect all necessary product data, including attributes, images, technical documents, barcodes, weights, and dimensions.
Enter and maintain accurate product data in the company's systems.
Ensure all product information meets data quality standards and is updated as necessary.
Perform regular audits of product data to ensure ongoing accuracy.
Work cross-functionally with the Product Management, PIM, Purchasing, E-commerce, and Sales teams to resolve data-related issues.
Utilize Excel to organize and analyze product data, ensuring it is properly formatted and ready for upload into internal systems.
Stay updated on the company's data standards and supplier communication protocols.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in data management, product lifecycle management, or related fields.
Proven experience in data management, product information, or a related field.
Proficiency with MS Excel at an intermediate level including vlookups, pivots, and formulas.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Familiarity with product management processes and item setup workflows.
Experience with data entry systems or databases preferred.
Works independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
