We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will work on solving complex problems and lead smaller projects with less experienced engineers to help develop their skills.

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the designing of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. Key Responsibilities
- Design and program increasingly advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.
- Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.
- Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.
- Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.
- Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.
- Test programming and interfaces prior to implantation.
- Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met.
- Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.
- Support of functional testing for complex building systems.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of HVAC controls industry experience OR Associate Degree with 6 years of HVAC controls industry experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 8 years of HVAC controls industry experience.
- Advanced degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline.
- Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.
- Proficient with primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of complex Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.
- Proficient with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
- Understanding with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio, or similar software. Proficient with written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.
- Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
