About this role:

We are seeking a Light Commercial RTU Product Manager professional to join our Syracuse, NY team! As the light commercial product manager, you will manage all aspects of the business including identifying new opportunities, developing marketing strategies, generating product requirements; determining specifications, and day-to-day activities to drive the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Increase sales and profitability of the light commercial product line
• Be the internal champion for the light commercial rooftop business and provide leadership team updates on business needs and direction.
• Analyze market and develop product strategy to drive share growth for the segment
• Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
• Work with Senior Product Manager to direct marketing communication for light commercial rooftops.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, suppliers, and customers to develop product requirements and specifications for new product development.
• Provide guidance for developing sales and marketing tools that assist the field sales force in their selling efforts of light commercial product lines.
• Develop pricing strategies and make key pricing decisions on critical jobs
• Visit job sites, sales offices, end user customers and consulting engineers for the purpose of increasing sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 6 years of experience in an industrial or HVAC segment.
• Traveling up to 25% is required.
• Due to customer contractual agreements, must be a US citizen, green card holder, or permanent resident of USA.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree
• HVAC industry experience, preferred
• Experience with commercial packaged units is also preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
• Have an ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in high pressure situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Have a combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers
• Have a personality defined by positivity, responsibility, integrity, accountability, and respect culminating in a strong work ethic
