Our future Service Advisor will manage the workflow of jobs, sell repairs to clients, and make sure that our customers have the best possible experience.
This position offers a draw commission plan.
Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service: Uphold the high standard of the Carrigan Auto Group. Our goal is to offer the best customer service experience in the industry. Handle all customer service complaints, navigate online feedback and other customer service issues appropriately and in accordance with Carrigan Auto Groups standards.
· Prevent customer service issues whenever possible. Monitoring and ensuring that all the verbal and written commitments/expectations made by staff are being honored.
· Empathy is your most effective tool, when managing situations with customers that are anything outside of someone being completely satisfied.
2. Manage Technicians: Be the leader of the shop's staff and help them to meet the objectives and sales targets set forth by the company. Enforce and maintain the company's values, policies, and systems that have been always put in place. Maintain work schedules and administer the employment practices of the company in partnership with the GM and our owner. Provide coaching to employees who are not meeting standards or expectations.
· When necessary, collaborate with all departments to figure out what is best for the company.
· Note if an employee is not responding to coaching in a positive way, consulting with The GM and or owner would be the next step.
3. Manage Shop Workflow: While maintaining quality and standard that the Carrigan Auto Group is known for, maintain a balanced/efficient workflow using the company’s systems.
4. Manage Costs: Ensure that we are always getting the best prices for our parts.
5. Participating in daily meetings: You will be responsible for attending/holding meetings. The front staff needs to meet 3 times a day. Once in the morning to develop game plan for the day. Once at noon to make sure the day is going as planned. Once in the late afternoon to make sure all parts are ordered and accounted for the following days.
6. Other tasks: Allow no job to be too small or beneath oneself. Fill in on tasks as needed to maintain the flow of the shop. Reconcile drawer daily and complete the deposits needed. Develop game plans to figure out how to meet Carrigan Auto Groups goals.
It is the Service Advisor’s responsibility to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the shop through leadership and continuous motivation of your peers and coworkers. This is one of the most important aspects of the position and is not accomplished by “ruling with an iron fist” but by listening to your coworker’s thoughts, needs and opinions, then making the best decisions for everyone in support of the company’s vision, mission, and core values.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service or Administration Experience: Must have at least 1 year in any customer service or administration related position.
- Organizational Skills: Must be able to work and complete work tasks in a timely fashion in an environment that has constant distractions and interruptions.
- Computer Knowledge: Must possess a working knowledge of how to use a Windows computer. This
- includes the ability to type or dictate at least 30 words per minute and operate a cursor. Most be able to use Excel.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate in English fluently, in both verbal and in written form.
- Math Skills: Must possess ability to count. Must know how to perform basic math functions using a calculator.
