Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinates clinical sites in which students receive clinical experience.
- Coordinate student assignments and placements with faculty.
- Provide appropriate oversight of the clinical experience
- Provide orientation for the on-site supervisors
- Assist in the orientation of new faculty to their clinical assignments as necessary.
- Ensures that the clinical affiliation agreements are in place.
- Distributes documentation for student clinical experiences in advance of all clinical experiences.
- Evaluates student performance against program objectives through feedback from clinical instructors and
managed appropriately.
- Evaluates clinical sites and instructors against program objectives and accreditationcriteria.
- Receives and verifies student attendance.
- Ensures Registrar’s records are accurate and received timely.
- Problem solves student and site issue to ensure that program mission and goals are met.
- Participates in any activities assigned by academic leadership in support of the evolution of the clinical experience
- Builds effective relationships and partnerships in the professional community, has a working knowledge of the
students.
- Visit clinical sites as appropriate.
- Leverages community partnerships to collaborate with Career Services in helping students find employment in
- Completes other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience
- Minimum of a Master Degree with a major in Nursing for faculty OR Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with an education plan that is completed within 5 years and report to MSN
- New Mexico RN OR Multi-state privilege
- BLS for healthcare providers
- At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- At least one year of experience with clinical instruction
- Have work experience as a nurse educator
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to expertise.
- Responds effectively to inquiries and presents information to students, employees, and the business community.
- Proficient in calculating figures like percentages, area, and volume.
- Applies concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and course-related software.
- Must possess required certificates, licenses, and registrations for the courses taught.
- Regularly required to stand, handle objects, reach, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Regularly lifts/moves up to 10 pounds; occasionally lifts/moves up to 50 pounds.
