About the Position:
Reporting to the Director of IT Services and Strategy, the Systems Analyst provides subject matter expertise on computer technology and hardware-related issues. In addition to developing and leveraging talent bench strength, this position will provide support to the IT department and company end users.

- Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade devices, including computers, tablets, notebooks, mobile and desktop phones.
- Monitor network and server performance and ensure all services are running properly.
- Perform timely response and technical support to all incidents, requests, outages and alerts, during and after work hours, as needed.
- Analyse technical and operational problems, work with internal leadership to develop plans to address changing needs of the business, both on premises and in the cloud.
- Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide end user support and troubleshooting.
- Independently resolve most problems, and Helpdesk tickets or questions that arise and consult with team members or other staff on unusual or difficult problems.
- Provide technical support on client-side applications, software, desktop hardware, peripherals, and printers.
- Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.
- Assist with application installation and testing.
- Educate employees on, and safeguard against malware, phishing scams, social engineering, and other online threats.
- Continuous maintenance and ongoing review of security standards and procedures to ensure only authorized individuals have access to networks, data, and information.
- Participate in after-hours on call coverage rotation
- Other related duties as assigned
- Completed post-secondary diploma in Computer Science or related academic field of study comparable to Canadian academic standards preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications preferred.
- Three (3) years experience in a similar role
- Direct experience with server operating systems, infrastructure monitoring and maintenance systems, cloud-based services, SaaS applications, networking and SAN/Storage concepts.
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Windows Servers, Office Suites.
- Basic knowledge of database services, including Microsoft SQL.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Adobe Applications, and other common platforms preferred.
