What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Detailer position at Carrington?
The Aircraft Detailer will be responsible for on demand cleaning and detailing aircraft and equipment and polishing leading edges. Climbing ladders, operating stands and general aircraft support equipment. As well as general shop practices and housekeeping of aircraft cleaning supplies. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, safety guidelines, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
What you'll do:
- Provide a wide variety of exceptional detailing services to private aircraft.
- Perform a thorough cleaning of each aircraft, which includes interiors: Using hand power machines to polish paint or aluminum surfaces, vacuuming and using aerosol sprays, cleaning lavatories, and deep cleaning carpets with an extractor.
- Exterior washing, polishing paint and buffing bright work.
- Keep work areas, equipment, and supplies in a professional state of operation and cleanliness.
- Perform work with both speed and thoroughness to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor operation of cleaning equipment and tools.
- Maintain an inventory or ordering cleaning supplies and keep records of services performed.
- Follow safety guidelines and practices in all business activities.
- Employees must be able to safely climb ladder, operate lifts, and work in confined spaces
- Provide exterior washing, polishing paint and buffing bright work.
- Ability to be respond to a request for detailing within 3 hours.
- Effectively communicate to Management on any additional time or resources needed to complete work.
- Ensure customers have a good understand of services being performed and make suggestions of any additional services recommended.
- Work collaboratively with co-workers, as assigned, to complete departmental tasks.
- When equipment/supply malfunctions occur, stop usage and promptly notify management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of one year experience detailing private aircraft.
