SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE
Carrio Cabling Corporation, a custom molded cable assembly manufacturer located in Colorado Springs since 1993, has an opening for a full-time shipping staff member to join the Carrio Team.
Daytime shift. Monday through Friday. Approx. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (specific hours may vary slightly depending on company and customer needs)
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS NEEDED:
Five years' experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment
Five years' experience using software programs to prepare and manage shipments to customers, sometimes following very detailed shipping instructions and processes
Knowledge and experience of varying shipping methods and carriers
Excellent math skills and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Excellent hand/grip strength and clear eyesight
Ability to clearly hear and understand conversation in an environment where many types of equipment may be simultaneously in use
Safely stand for extended periods of time
Walk safely on a coated concrete floor while carrying objects weighing as much as 50 pounds
Lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist
Bend over and/or twist at the trunk while holding and/or lifting objects weighing as much as 50 pounds
Reach forward and/or reach overhead while lifting objects weighing as much as 50 pounds
Push or pull shipping boxes that may weigh as much as 50 pounds - and push or pull carts that may be carrying one or more shipping boxes, each weighing as much as 50 pounds
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Process customer products for shipment as product is completed using company systems and processes
Print riders after product is processed through systems, so that rider quantities are updated and accurate
Ship products using appropriate shipper, ensuring that all customer requirements are accurately followed
Ensure that finished goods details are up to date and accurate in the system
Work as a team with other staff across the company to ensure that product is shipped accurately and on time and that customers are served
The job may also involve cycle counting and other duties that may be assigned by management.
