What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Boys JV Basketball Coach position at Carroll County High School?
The season is set by the VHSL and spans from mid-November to mid-March and covers scrimmages, district level games, and post-season tournaments. Practice is generally five days per week.
Extended days cover summer clinics, rules clinic, physicals, summer camps, fund raisers, holiday practices, off-season supplemental weight training, pre and post season inventory. The coach reports to the athletic director and is evaluated by the principal.
Duties parallel the head varsity coach. The regular season schedule has approximately the same number of games including post-season tournament(s). The coach reports to the athletic director and is evaluated by the principal.
This is light work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force to move objects; work requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
