What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Specialist position at Carroll County Memorial Hospital?
- Provide constant supervision of children in your care inside the center as well as outside on the playground, and on field trips
- Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered
- Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits
- Provide developmentally appropriate educational opportunities to children, including reading, writing, math, science, art, and must maintain confidentiality of child and family information
- Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games
- Assist in preparing food for children and serve meals and refreshments to children and regulate rest periods
- Assist children in self-care routines (diapering, washing hands, changing clothes, etc.)
- Perform housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning/sanitizing, dishwashing, and changing of linens
- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts
- Maintain a healthy environment both inside and outside that promotes learning
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the center to meet Missouri licensing requirements
- Communicate to the Center Director observed safety, physical, and licensing issues immediately
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work as scheduled; provide proper notification to your immediate supervisor regarding a need to be absent from work
- Attend all required staff meetings, functions and staff development opportunities
- Collaborate professionally and respectfully with other members of your team
- All other job related duties as assigned
