Position Summary
The Operations Manager is important in keeping Carroll County Memorial Hospital running smoothly and effectively each day. In this role, you’ll focus on monitoring and enhancing our daily operations, while working closely with leadership, department heads, and clinical teams to support and improve our patients' experience. You’ll help implement strategies that improve quality of care, streamline workflows in a manner consistent with the hospital’s mission, vision, and ICARE values.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The Operations Manager plays an active role in the execution of our strategic plan. Whether developing short- and long-term goals or coordinating department business plans you will work directly with the COO and hospital leaders to contribute to our growth and effectiveness as an organization. Acting as a resource for our clinical teams, you’ll foster collaboration across departments.
From data integrity and informatics to contract management, you will assist leadership to ensure departmental alignment with both our standards and the industry’s regulatory requirements. You’ll assist in efforts to improve efficiency and the quality of care we provide.
As the operations manager, you will assist leadership in leading key initiatives from start to finish, on time, within budget, and aligned with our broader goals. This role involves aligning operations with financial objectives; You’ll collaborate on operational budgets and support the clinically driven revenue cycle. Additionally, you’ll serve an integral role on our Project Improvement Team, encouraging continuous improvement in everything we do.
The operations manager needs to bring technological insight to this role, helping us identify and implement solutions that improve our operational efficiency and patient care. You’ll stay informed on trends and best practices in the industry and support initiatives to integrate and adopt technologies such as electronic health records (EHR), AI, and other data and digital tools. You will also help achieve 340B-centric goals like enhancing patient access to necessary medications and clinical services.
As a leader, you’ll work alongside other department managers and help build a culture of engagement and development. You’ll also support onboarding programs and relationships that encourage alignment with our organizational goals and values.
The Operations Manager will be based in our office at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, with travel to various departments and facilities as needed. Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends may be required
