Description : The Carroll County Treasurer is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Deputy Treasurer.
Applicant must possess strong computer skills with the ability to learn quickly; be detail oriented; possess dependability and communications skills -verbal and written; ability to follow procedures, multi-task in a seasonally high paced work environment, handle frequent interruptions and have knowledge of standard office practices and procedures and equipment; be self-motivated and reliable.
Essential duties include but are not limited to accepting and processing various payments; cashiering and balancing a cash drawer daily; assisting with tax inquiries; maintaining various office records and preparing office documents for distribution.
Applicant possessing education and/or experience in accounting, administrative support or computer technology preferred but not required. Related employment tests may be administered during employment interview. Successful applicant must submit to and pass a criminal background check investigation.
