What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice position at Carroll Daniel Construction?
The Carroll Daniel Construction Apprentice program was created to prepare students for a future career as a Superintendent. To be eligible for the Apprentice program, candidates must work as a laborer on a Carroll Daniel Construction jobsite for at least 6 months to be considered. Once awarded the opportunity to be an Apprentice, students will attend school for 2 years at Lanier Technical College, pursuing their degree in Construction Management, while working a minimum of 40 hours per week with added responsibility under their superintendent. Students must maintain satisfactory academic and labor performance to remain eligible for the program. Students must represent the brand appropriately inside and outside of work hours, including but not limited to social media use, and professional conduct inside and outside of the workplace. Apprentices may be responsible for opening and closing jobsites as needed. Apprentices are responsible for submitting daily reports and maintaining consistent communication with their professors, mentors, and student program representatives. Our goal for Apprentice students will be 5 per cohort. This number may vary depending on support and resource requirements needed to provide an optimal experience for the students. Apprentices are not guaranteed a job as a superintendent upon graduation.
