JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Security Administrator is responsible for monitoring, managing, and enhancing the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensuring that security policies, tools, and best practices are effectively implemented. The IT Security Administrator has a strong technical background in IT security, experience with security tools, and a passion for protecting digital assets. This crucial role ensures the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure by working closely with other IT professionals to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and monitor systems for any potential threats. The IT Security Administrator helps maintain a secure environment for our data and operations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and manage security measures for information systems and networks.
- Monitor systems for potential security breaches and investigate incidents.
- Perform regular security audits and assessments.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure the secure configuration of systems and applications.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on security best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
- Assist with Disaster Recovery/BCP plan maintenance
- Assist in developing security training material and tracking schedule
- Assessments of new software

WORKING CONDITIONS
- The majority of work is in an office setting, with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Willingness to travel to site locations (2 in Greenville and 1 Warehouse located in Lavonia, Ga.) for maintenance and troubleshooting activities (if required).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field or an Associate's degree specific to IT Security with a combination of relevant work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in an IT security role.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, tools, and technologies.
- Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security ) are a plus.
