Summary
JOB SUMMARY
This role will serve as a point person/onboarding support for our International RN hiring. Other areas of education support include, but are not limited to, Supplemental Staffing/Float Pool, and our respiratory department (liaison with Respiratory dept. educator).
A professional educational position responsible for coordinating activities in specified areas related to the orientation/education process. The roles of this position include: Learning Facilitator, Mentor, Consultant, and Change agent for Carroll Hospital. Duties include but are not limited to: management of the new hire orientation process, accountability of preceptors, on-going associate education, participation in monitoring and evaluation of quality indicators. The RN Clinical Educator is accountable to the basic standard of practice as defined in the Maryland State Nurse Practice Act.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree Required
Master's Degree - Preferred at hire, but must be pursuing within 24 months of hire
Minimum of 4-7 of nursing experience required.
Three years experience teaching clinical practice preferred.
RN - Registered Nurse license required
BLS - AHA Basic Life Support required
BLSI - Basic Life Support Instructor preferred
Certification is Specialty Area preferred
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
PALS - PALS preferred
NRPI - Neonatal Resuscitation Instructor preferred

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with other professionals and conduct formal educational programs. Knowledge of educational theories and application. Analytical skills to develop and evaluate programs. AHA Instructor status within 1 year
