Position Overview As the Life Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality behavioral health programming and guidance to program participants. Working under the leadership of the facility Administrator, you will ensure residents receive the highest degree of quality care while fostering a calm and supportive environment.
This full-time position offers a dynamic and fulfilling opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, a calm demeanor, and a dedication to helping others succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate group classes, individual coaching sessions, and structured therapeutic activities.
Develop and review Behavior Management Plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
Conduct Phasing Meetings to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Attend care plan and department head meetings, providing insights to enhance resident care.
Communicate with residents, guardians, and staff to address concerns, progress, and goals.
Deliver training on behavioral health topics at monthly staff meetings.
Assist with discharge planning and ongoing resident engagement strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes to support program outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the area of behavioral health, social work, education, or healthcare is preferred
Experience assisting individuals in achieving personal and behavioral growth, relevant to coaching residents through behavioral management plans.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
Comfortable delivering educational materials in group settings.
Strong social skills, problem-solving abilities, and a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
Ability to identify and address dysfunctional relationships and environmental conditions.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external contacts.
