Child Care Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:
Direct, coordinate, organize, and manage instructional programs and supervise operations and personnel for the Extended School Day Programs and CISD Staff Childcare Center. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service and program development. Oversee compliance with district policies, state minimum standards, success of instructional programs, and training for the Extended School Day Program and CISD Staff Childcare Center.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Early Childhood (preferred)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to enhance and implement a districtwide quality program
• Ability to manage a budget and personnel
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to train staff in positive behavior management techniques and developmentally appropriate activities
• Knowledge of age appropriate curriculum and instruction for early childhood and school age children
• Knowledge of human development and relation skills
• Knowledge of community and available resources
• Knowledge of child development

Experience:
Minimum 3 years of teaching and/or program supervisory experience
Background managing complex departmental/organization budgets (preferred)
