Job Location: THE LUTHERAN VILLAGE AT MILLERS GRANT INC - ELLICOTT CITY, MD
Salary Range: $18.50 Hourly
Description
We are currently seeking PRN Security Guards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check in with previous guard, review assignments and log book at beginning of shift
- Check and lock doors at assigned times
- Inspect and maintain vehicles
- Respond to emergencies, e.g., fire, emergency response system and assist nursing personnel as directed
- Follow emergency call lists; help direct emergency vehicles if necessary
- Document and check mechanical equipment operation, gauges and controls
- Check for any unsafe conditions and repair or report to Facilities Management
- Check all equipment to make sure it is properly turned off
- During snowstorms, help keep ice and snow away from emergency exit
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of maintenance and Grounds

Hourly Wage will be based on candidate qualifications including relevant years of experience and certifications/education
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or GED
- 1 Year Security Guard experience in a CCRC environment preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Evenings and Weekend differentials offered
- Professional and Friendly demeanor
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team Player
- Valid CPR Certification a plus, but willing to provide training to certify
