Job Title: Liquor Clerk
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a primary contact for Safeway customers, the Liquor Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Reviews beer, wine, and liquor area and replaces stock as needed. Rotates and reworks the stock in cooler for convenience of access and display. Brings stock from end displays to fill cooler.
Provides customer service and advises customers on wine purchases. Cleans up spills in the beer and wine aisle.
JOB DUTIES:
Safeway Liquor Clerk employees are generally responsible for completing the following job duties:
1. Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.
1. Maintain cleanliness of beer and wine area of store.
1. Replace stock in displays in the beer and wine area.
1. May order liquor and work with vendors on order quantities.
1. Other duties as assigned.
JOB RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to follow company customer service procedures. Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
1. Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
1. Ability to work independently when necessary.
1. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
