What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Supervisor RN CBH position at Carrus Health?
Carrus Behavioral Hospital is a new, state-of-the-art, 28-bed child and adolescent behavioral facility. We provide 24-hour inpatient behavioral care for patients ages 5 through 17 who require a safe and therapeutic environment. Our multidisciplinary team, led by a board-certified psychiatrist, provides evidence-based therapies tailored to the needs of each child, adolescent, and family, and our effective management teams ensure that the hospital runs smoothly and that every patient leaves satisfied.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the administrative management of hospital-wide patient care activities on his/her designated shift.
Consults with staff, physicians, Director of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer and/or designee on nursing procedures and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
Manages department and the provision of nursing service according to the Standards of Nursing Practice consistent with facility philosophy of care, state laws, federal laws and regulations.
Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, advanced level of analytical skills, and exceptional detail-orientation is required.
Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience is preferred.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTRIFICATIONS:
Requires current State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse licensure.
BLS certification is required upon hire.
De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
