JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and detailed-oriented individual to join our manufacturing company as a forklift material handler. Responsible for various task including safely transporting material in a manufacturing facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsible for performing various tasks involving the movement of materials.
Move finished trailers and material around our facility.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Follow orders, and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Follow all company rules and policies.
Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have previous forklift experience.
Ability to use and read a tape measure is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to properly identify and compile information to effectively make decisions and set priorities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Environment is not climate controlled. Limited control of heat and cooling, hot in the summers and cold in the winters.
Loud industrial environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Walking, standing, kneeling, bending are required up to 90% of the workday.
Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50-70 pounds, up to 20% of the workday.
WORK HOURS:
This is a full-time position. Work week is Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts. Saturday will be required when production demand requires overtime.
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.
