Principal Purpose of the Position:
Spectrum Automotive is seeking a Division Controller to join its Specialty Administration Business Unit in our Monroeville, PA office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the monthly close process and ensuring the timely preparation of accurate periodic financial statements for multiple business units.
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets, budget variance reports and forecasts.
- Supporting the design and implementation of effective internal controls over financial reporting.
- Supporting the facilitation of timely audits and reviews with external auditors.
- Supervising and directing the work of accounting staff.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience with proven track record.
- Served as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager or equivalent in a public or privately held company or high expectation environment.
- Strong technical accounting experience, expertise in US GAAP regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
- Excellent critical and strategic thinking.
- Ability to lead, influence, and drive priorities at a senior level as well as build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the Company.
- Exhibits confidence in self and others; effectively influences actions and opinions of others; accepts feedback from others; gives appropriate recognition to others.
- Perform accurately in a fast-paced, goal-based environment, and ability to adapt to a growing business.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
