We are seeking a mid-level Data Engineer who understands all the intricacies of handling data at scale.
As a Data Engineer for CarShield, you will
start by understanding existing databases and how they support various applicationsdesign new databases, enhance existing ones, write SQL queries and Transact-SQL (T-SQL) stored procedurestroubleshoot issues when tickets come in, find / document / implement elegant solutionsperformance tune slow queries by re-writing, indexing or improving database designwork closely with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to improve data flow from start to finishbring in and maintain a highly positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn and excelRequirements : Requirements
Must be able to work in-office in St. Peters, MO, 5 days a week (this position is fully on-site)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent work experience4 years of experience as a SQL Server Data EngineerDeep understanding of SQL, database design, normalizationGood understanding of Database Engine internals such as buffer pool, parallelism, execution plans, indexing2 years of experience creating, managing and monitoring data pipelines (ETL / ELT)Positive attitude, with a strong desire to learn and excelDesired Skills and Experience
Experience with C# or Python2 years of experience with Business Intelligence (BI) toolsPay Rate and Benefits
