What is the role we are searching for?
Driver Coordinator-Chester Springs, PA:
In this position you will have overall responsibility for the Store Transportation Department. You will be the coordinator and communicator between other departments and managing the driver staff in order to meet and strive to exceed company targets. You will collaborate with the service, wholesale and sales teams to support an atmosphere where productivity thrives.
What will you do?
- You will manage the departure and arrival times for the service being provided. In addition, you will be responsible to pick up, transport and deliver automobiles and trucks between our locations with a high sense of urgency while remaining safe.
- This role is a critical team member in the day to day maintenance and advancement of our company values and culture within the service/sales area.
- Maintain open lines of communication between Transportation Department, Sales, Wholesale, Purchasing, Retail and Internal Service.
- Provide quick and efficient transportation of vehicles including customer, Retail Service, Internal Service, New Arrivals and Wholesale.
- Shuttle vehicles back and forth between CarShop locations to meet the needs of the business
- Coordinate Retail Service shuttle van operation to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Hire, train and develop drivers in the Transportation Department in order to meet the ever changing business needs.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and protect company assets.
What skills do you need?
- While performing job duties, associate must have the ability to walk various distances.
- Must upload tracking software on phone to log trips
- Able to sit in a vehicle for various periods of time and lift, push, pull and carry materials, equipment and supplies of various weights.
- Possess specific vision abilities; close vision, distance, and capable of adjusting focus.
- During inclement weather, must be able to shovel, push snow with a snow broom and operate a snow blower.
- Valid Driver's License and be accident free in the last 3 years
- No history of traffic violations in last 3 years
- Part-time position under 1,000 hours per year
