Who We Want
The Associate Wealth Advisor serves as an essential support team member to the lead advisors at our Carson Wealth Cedar Rapids office. Under the supervision of the Lead Advisors, this individual will participate in client meetings documenting notes and observing client interactions. This individual will also provide technical support and execute client follow-up activities. The Associate Wealth Advisor has a strong desire to develop technical and social skills to support client relationship and learn and expand their business development skill set.
What To Expect
- Second chair to Lead Advisors in client meetings, gathering client data, dictating notes, and executing follow-up items.
- Serves as integral part of the relationship team for firm clients working with and under supervision of Lead Advisor.
- Develop effective communication skills with clients, centers of influence, industry contacts and team members.
- Learn and develop data entry skills in various software programs: eMoney, YCharts, Holistaplan, and Salesforce).
- Prioritizes ongoing client relationship management including regular client contact, communications, meetings, and coordinating the onboarding process for new clients.
- Builds loyal client advocates and produces new clients through those relationships.
- Publicly represents the firms strategic brand and team service concept.
- Maintains familiarity with industry and economic trends and applies knowledge to client service and relationships.
- Commits to ongoing growth of skill sets and competencies needed to serve client, firm, and individual success.
- Other duties and special projects, as assigned.
What You Need
- Computer literacy and aptitude for learning new programs and processes
- Knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Knowledge of Financial Industry programs (Salesforce, eMoney, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
- A genuine interest in serving and caring for other people
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with precision
- Self-motivation and a desire for growth
- Ability to take direction and a desire to support all team members
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1-3 years of investment advisor experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent investment advisory experience
- Active Series 65 license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Active Series 7 and State Insurance License or ability to obtain within one year of hire
- Working through CFP® coursework
- Clean U-4 and U-5 history

The total rewards expected for this role include:
- Starting annual base salary between $65,000 - $87,296.
- Variable compensation potential (Bonus and/or commissions)
