Who We Want
The Paraplanner will support the Carson Wealth team in the preparation, presentation, and implementation of financial plans for clients of the firm. Duties will include managing financial planning software, gathering and inputting financial information from clients into the software, designing planning techniques, preparation of financial plan presentations and reports and performing necessary research on unusual and sophisticated scenarios.
What To Expect
- Primary focus is supporting the Carson Wealth team with financial plan preparation and implementation
- Work with Wealth Advisors and Wealth Planners to gain an understanding of our wealth planning client's background and objectives
- Input client information into various web-based software (financial planning, tax planning, investment planning)
- Develop a close, long-term relationship with financial plan clients to understand their current circumstances and future needs or wishes
- Update financial plans, as necessary, to maintain reliable and current information
- Monitor and assist with various planning questions from Advisor
- Assist with Financial Plan agreements
- Create and modify PowerPoint presentations to highlight financial plan data for client meetings
- Review and modify systems to enhance the financial planning experience
- Research complex financial planning issues and topics and present findings
- Attend client meetings and draft financial plan summary letter to client and clients trusted advisors
- Work with Wealth Advisor, Wealth Planners and clients other trusted advisors to implement financial plan recommendations
What You Need
- Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate level
- eMoney and Salesforce experience preferred
- Excellent phone and personal communication skill
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Drive for professional growth
- Ability to handle high volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
Required Experience / Qualifications
- CFP® Certificate or ability to obtain certification within 24 months of start date.
- Relevant Educational Background (Finance, Accounting or Business Administration)
- Financial services industry experience
- Pass internal proficiency exams
- Series 65 (or equivalent) attained within 120 days
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous financial planning experience preferred

The total rewards expected for this role include:
- Starting annual base salary between $50,000 - $79,700.
- Variable compensation potential (Bonus and/or commissions)
