Summary
Performs complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures of the cardiovascular system for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Provides expertise to cardiologists, other medical staff, management, nursing, and other sonographers regarding the documentation and interpretation of cardiovascular ultrasound procedure
Qualifications
Required :
- RDCS or RCS. Incumbent must hold and maintain active registry with the ARDMS or CCI in the specialty of adult or pediatric echocardiography. Individual holding both adult and pediatric credentials is preferred.
- BLS / CPR certification for Health Care Providers is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years recent experience in Echocardiography preferred.
- Knowledge of coronary and peripheral vascular anatomy and physiology and medical terminology
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, patients and their families and co-workers.
- Must be able to take callAdditional requirements- Rural outreach staff
- Current unrestricted drivers license, DMV printout and proof of insurance required
