As a Collision and Auto Body Estimator, your day kicks off with warmly greeting customers and assessing their needs with a keen eye for detail. You meticulously inspect and evaluate damaged vehicles, creating precise repair estimates. As a trusted advisor, you explain CARSTAR's repair process, insurance claims, payment procedures, and timelines to customers, ensuring clarity and confidence.
You aim to achieve a 75% closing ratio by scheduling estimates and repairs, while consistently maintaining a customer satisfaction score of at least 81%. Building positive relationships with insurance agents, dealerships, and fleet accounts is key, as is keeping everyone informed about repair progress. That is why you ensure every repair meets our high standards through thorough inspections before vehicle delivery. Daily release meetings and varied duties also keep your role dynamic and engaging!
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN OUR COLLISION AND AUTO BODY ESTIMATOR
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience as a collision estimator or insurance appraiser
- Experience with damage analysis, hybrid vehicles, restraint systems, electrical systems, and identifying hail, theft, and vandalism damage
- Proficiency with collision management systems (ABSe and Mitchell Repair Center), estimating software (ADP, Mitchell, and CCC-1), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- I-CAR training or other industry training
