The Molding Setter – Level 3 is a multi-functional position whose main role is to support and maintain molding department production at the assigned molding machines and throughout the department. This is the 3rd level of the Molding job-skill progression ranging from Trainee to Senior Technician. This is a second shift position.
What you’ll do as a Mold Setter:
- Setup related auxiliaries and workstations, changeover resins and concentrates, and perform other support activities related to job changeovers.
- Install any robot tooling, upload programs, step-through programs, and put the robot into production.
- Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs and/or other operational strategies.
- Install any mold tooling (including water, air, electric, and hydraulic connections), upload programs or input parameters manually from a card, and put the mold into production.
- Must be capable to navigate all related mold machine and robot controls. The Setter is further responsible to maintain 5S standards, follow QSAM and SMED/quick change procedures, and work to established standards for workmanship and speed.
- Perform a variety of tasks including any task required at lower levels such as disassemble and assemble molds, clean molds and perform basic PM tasks, prepare molds for storage or production, and handle all tooling in accordance to proper safe operating procedures and work instructions.
- Performs other tasks that the employee has been trained in as necessary or as assigned by a supervisor.

Physical requirements and working conditions:
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
- Stand or sit for an eight-hour shift
- Repetitive grasping and pinching of hands
- Reach over shoulder, bend, stoop occasionally
- Frequently transfer objects and materials up to 25 pounds
- This Molding Setter position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow facility
