We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources (HR) Director to lead and oversee all aspects of our HR practices and processes at The United States Playing Card Company, A Cartamundi Company. The HR Director will be responsible for developing HR strategies, implementing policies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This role requires a dynamic leader who can foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and support the organization’s overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s business objectives.
Partner with the recruiting department, participate in the selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
Manage performance appraisals, site merit process, manage day to day benefits and benefits open enrollment coordination.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, mitigating risks and handling workplace issues effectively.
Foster a positive work environment that enhances employee satisfaction and productivity.
Oversee employee engagement activities
Oversee employee relations, mediate conflicts, and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Supervise and mentor the HR team, ensuring efficient execution of HR functions.
Drive change management and organizational development initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
Minimum of 14 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Experience with HR software and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s). Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
Work effectively with other team members, through use of verbal and written communication, including typing, through use of fingers on a keyboard.
May need to perform sedentary work, sitting for long periods of time) on various computer systems
This HR Director position is located on-site in our Erlanger, KY facility
