What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Carter Agri-Systems?
Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic & Repair:
- Diagnose and repair various agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, balers, sprayers, tillage equipment, and planters.
- Customer Service:
- Respond to customer needs in a supportive manner; ensure high customer satisfaction through quality work.
- Safety & Maintenance:
- Independently manage the safe maintenance and repair of equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and service vehicle.
- Team Interaction:
- Collaborate positively with management and team members to meet customer needs.
- Assist fellow technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Communication:
- Keep the supervisor updated on job status and completion.
- Complete and document work orders and labor accurately.
- Emergency Response:
- Be available for after-hours emergency calls as needed.
- Parts Management:
- Identify and communicate the need for parts to maintain inventory.
- Additional Duties:
Carry out other assigned responsibilities as required
Experience: The candidate will have at least 2 years of diagnostic and repairs experience on heavy equipment and have a basic set of tools.
Education: At least a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
