SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Equipment Specialist is responsible for assuming the daily completion of all scheduled deliveries, set-ups and home visits. The position will coordinate customer service needs and inventory availability levels to accommodate demands. The equipment specialist is also responsible for receiving, processing, checking and repairing all equipment rented to home care patient/clients. This position maintains purchase and preventive maintenance records on all equipment owned by Carter Healthcare. General appearance and cleanliness of all equipment processing, repair and storage areas are also the responsibility of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2. Have at least two years of patient/client care/service experience in the home care industry.
- 3. Must possess a valid chauffeur's driving license (commercial driving license, if applicable).
- 4. Must possess and maintain good physical stamina and mental health. Has presented a pre- employment health clearance including a negative TB skin test and/or CXR and other tests as required by Organization's policy.
- 5. Health care credential not required but desirable.
- 6. Have satisfactory references from current employers and/or professional peers.
- 7. Have excellent observation and communication skills.
- 8. Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the Agency requirements; have proof of insurance.
- 9. Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows/MS Office applications. Able to type at least 25 words per minute.
- 10. Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
- 11. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
