This position is eligible for hybrid work.
A typical day as an ACO Editor-Journeyman may include:
• Creates and updates NATOPS flight manuals and deliverables
• Incorporates data into XML format when received from subject matter experts/other sources
• Review format and layout of manuals to ensure the accuracy of draft and final products for varied government deliverables
• Evaluate NATOPS products for data integrity and other possible discrepancies
• Monitors progress of government deliverables using planning and tracking software
• Travels to support NATOPS conferences
• Participates in draft reviews or working groups
Must-haves:
• Technical/Scientific BS/BAS/BA Degree from an accredited college or university
• Three years of relevant work experience
• Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Prior experience leading and directing the work of others
• Ability to report to a supervisor or manager
• Experience using Arbortext XML Editor
• Previous knowledge of PDF authoring programs such as Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Naval Airworthiness Style Guides, MIL-DTL, Standard work Packages,
NATOPS/NATIP, and Broadvision
• The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of HTML
• Familiar with version control systems
• Previous experience working in an Agile work environment Familiar with Arbortext

Physical environment and working conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking
at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about
sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and on-site buildings.
Occasionally, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. On rare
occasions, overnight travel may be required.
The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk, and/or move throughout the workday, often
bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs.
Preferred Experience:
Any air crew member positions for DoD airframes (IE. Flight engineers, crew chiefs, load masters)
