Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses that best suit their vision needs and personal style.
• Conduct measurements for eyewear fittings, including pupillary distance and frame adjustments.
• Educate patients on proper lens care, fitting, and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Ordering frames and lenses from vendors.
• Manage inventory of eyewear products and supplies, utilizing retail math skills for effective stock management.
• Ensure the orders are processed immediately so that the vision laboratory can receive and prepare the patients' orders.
• Knowledge with utilizing VisionWeb (Helix) eyecare platform for ordering and processing.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any patient inquiries or concerns promptly.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in the optical field is required.
• Experience operating LensChek Plus lensometers is required.
• Experience in Optical experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality is required.
• Experience working with community service, including (Children, Senior, and ADA) populations, is a plus.
• Proficiency in using optical systems for patient management is beneficial.

Pay: $16.59 - $21.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
