Overview
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting engineering projects through hands-on technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a background in fiber optic cables,using multimeters, oscilloscopes and equivalent equipment. You will work closely with engineers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Performing a wide range of tasks such as operating computer data acquisition equipment, performing routine maintenance on sensing equipment and moving test assets at the facility
- Conferring with customers, engineers, and other officials to discuss existing or current acquisition techniques or measured results from acquisition system.
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, standards or customer requirements by assisting or coordinating installation, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities * Working alongside a variety of engineers and technicians of varying backgrounds
- Writing standard operating procedures and compiling measurement data regarding existing and new test assets
- Conducting facility and test equipment maintenance and calibrations including repair of fiber optic cables
Qualifications Must have:
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a field of electronics * Experience working with fiber optic cables
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes and equivalent equipment * Ability to recognize mistakes that occur, articulate possible causes or seek assistance and learn from these events * Willing to work overtime if requested
- Willing to work indoors and outdoors * Motivated and proactive
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, to include MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Clearance:
DOD Clearance "Secret"
Interim Clearance to include anyone who has begun the process but was laid off in the process)
Desired:
- Experience working with naval aircraft
Education:
HS degree/GED with technical or military training
