HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:The Color & Raw Material Development Services Associate role is an individual contributor position responsible for maintaining color standards & supporting the Sr Manager by managing raw material & print libraries. This role typically reports into the Sr Manager or Manager in PDC and is based in our Buckhead office.
80% Essential Job Functions:_ Central owner of all color standards in the company; maintaining physical library as well as Flex PLM library database._ Communicate with C&P team, Archroma and CGS on seasonal color development._ Manage daily relationship, negotiate pricing w/ Archroma for color standards._ Distribute color chips to internal partners._ Support the maintenance of the physical and digital raw material library. _ Run reports to monitor usage of fabrics and govern the qualities, making sure to deactivate any unused qualities._ Create PLM item numbers for sweaters, garment trims and denim washes and communicate to cross functional teams the new codes._ Support reviewing art (PPWK) to ensure standards are aligned._ Support the maintenance of the capabilities of our mills & factory partners to inform PDC & Design in the development process.
20% Essential Job Functions:_ Approve bulk color submits for all Western Hemisphere & licensed production as well as packaging._ Be the expert, test and facilitate annual Munsell Tests to new employees as required._ Foster commitment to teamwork and accountability._ Strong relationship with cross-functional teams and overseas partners._ Able to present new materials to cross-functional teams._ Manage invoices for payment to suppliers in data process system (SAP)
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:Must have:_ Industry experience in either Textile, Product Development or Color, 3-5 years preferred_ Bachelor’s Degree, or a minimum of 4 years of additional industry experience directly related to apparel Sourcing or Product Development_ Understanding of apparel design, fabric qualities, printing techniques, and product development activities._ Advanced grammar and communication skills; capable of interpreting and conveying international business concepts._ Advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)_ Superior analytical and project management skills; ability to anticipate and proactively arrive at viable solutions._ Potential for domestic or international travel, up to 10%.
