The Youth Career Advisor will coordinate all of the required Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Adult program elements and activities to ensure that adults ages 16 to 24 attain program and student goals and objectives.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responsibilities: Assess client program eligibility through interviews and documentation, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.Conduct individual assessments to identify career goals, skills, and support needs and develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) outlining goals and strategies.Maintain accurate records and documentation in the state Management Information System, including case notes and progress reports.Provide counseling, referrals to support services, and job placement assistance aligned with participant goals.Deliver follow-up services for at least 12 months post-program to ensure success.Participate in integrated service delivery, program promotion, and customer engagement while maintaining compliance with guidelines and regulations.Serve on College committees and task forces as assigned.Attend required campus events including graduation, professional development, & employee meetings.
