Job Summary:
Carteret County Public Schools is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our facilities maintenance team. As a key member of the plumbing division, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical plants in a condition of operating excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair water supply equipment, plumbing fixtures, drain/water systems, and other piping systems
- Servicing, repairing, and installing plumbing fixtures and related food service equipment
- Maintaining and repairing waste piping of treatment or disposal systems
- Servicing, repairing, and installing piping to hot water/steam heating and refrigeration systems
- Analyzing defects or malfunctions in the plumbing systems
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, trade school, or apprentice program in plumbing installations and maintenance in pipefitting
- Five years of progressive experience in the repair, replacement, or construction of piping systems
- Valid NC State Level I Plumbing License
- Valid NC LPP Operator's certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid NC Class C Well Certification
