- JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- The nursing director reports to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and supervises the clinical team on the assigned unit or department. Collaborates with all interdisciplinary teams, including inpatient units, Emergency Department and Surgical Services.
- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- The MCH Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical excellence in the management of all inpatient maternal-child health services, including labor and delivery, postpartum, neonatal care, and pediatrics. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, compliance with regulatory standards, and a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and staff development.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- Current Licensed registered nurse in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 5-years of clinical nursing experience in maternal-child health, with at least 3- years in a leadership role
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing required, Masters in nursing or Health Care Administration preferred.
- Current BLS Certification and NRP Certification required. ACLS and PALS highly recommended.
