- JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- The nursing director reports to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and supervises the clinical team on the assigned unit or department. Collaborates with all interdisciplinary teams, including inpatient units, Emergency Department and Surgical Services
- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- The PCU/CCU Director is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the Progressive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, optimizes resource utilization, fosters staff development, and maintains adherence to all regulatory standards. The Director serves as a key leader in advancing clinical excellence and promoting patient safety and satisfaction.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- Current Licensed registered nurse in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 5-years of clinical nursing experience in Progressive/Critical Care or other related field, with at least 3- years in a leadership role
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing required, Masters in nursing or Health Care Administration preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification required, Certifications in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) and/or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) highly recommended.
