- JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- Responsible to the Communications and Physician Answering Service Manager.
- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- Daily operation of the switchboard for the hospital, providing routine information and directing calls to appropriate areas. Also, coordinates the answering service for physicians. Greets, assists and directs visitors, patients, and other hospital callers.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Six months to a year PBX experience or related service, preferably in a hospital setting as well as receptionist duties.
- Must be able to reach and write English.
- Must be able to see well enough to read numbers.
